Sophie Dorin is a French lawyer and author with recognised VAT and indirect taxation expertise, based in Paris.
Sophie has a significant experience of advising on a wide range of domestic and international VAT and indirect tax matters for French companies and international groups, across a broad spectrum of industries including distribution, media, telecommunication, Insurance, and real estate. She is also noted for her expertise on carousel fraud and her assistance on tax audits and tax litigations.
Before launching her tax law firm “Sophie Dorin – Société d’Avocats”, Sophie worked for more than 20 years with the largest Paris firms (notably Ernst & Young (Real Estate), Arthur Andersen (Knowledge), Deloitte (VAT), Taj (VAT) and Bird & Bird).
She is part of the few experts in France who regularly publishes in well-known tax reviews (notably Lexis Nexis and JFA).
She is the co-author of “Real Estate Lease: the tax management in practice” (Edition EFE).
Sophie is a frequent speaker at leading French business high schools, universities, and professional institutions.
She currently teaches at University Paris Dauphine-PSL (Tax Master 221).
