Renato Portale is a VAT expert who formerly worked as public official playing the role of head of VAT administration of Sondrio and Como (Italy).
After leaving the public administration, since 1987 Renato has been chartered accountant, publicist and journalist.
He has been writing for 20 years about VAT on the main Italian economic newspaper “Il Sole 24 Ore”.
He has published several books on VAT, like “IVA- Imposta sul Valore Aggiunto” (formerly published by “Il Sole 24 ore” and now by “Giuffrè Francis Lefevre”), which is the most popular book on VAT matters for the Italian chartered accountants and public officials.
Renato teaches as professor at the Executive Masters on Taxation organized by the University of Milan “Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore”, at the Master on Taxation “Fiscal Law, accounting and fiscal planning” at the LUISS business school and at the Masters on Taxation of the University Insubria.
