Madlen Espenkrona holds a Master’s degree in law from Lund University (2002) and has also studied Business administration and managerial economics at Linköping University. Madlen started her career as a law clerk at the administrative court but shortly after went to Deloitte and later PwC to work as a VAT specialist advising companies of various sizes and industries in VAT and Customs matters. Madlen then worked as in-house Indirect Tax Manager for IKEA during many years until she founded her own consultancy firm in 2022. Madlen has published articles in renowned Swedish tax magazines and has held many VAT courses for colleagues and clients.
Although mainly focusing on advising large and medium sized businesses Madlen also has experience from advising start-ups and scale ups. Due to her broad experience from both consultancy firms and working in-house at a multinational Madlen can adapt to the business needs quickly and advise from a risk (and possibility) perspective. Adding further value, she can guide companies through the implementation of VAT advice into the business routines and systems.
