Heidi Deschacht is since November 1993 specialised in VAT legislation. She has worked as a senior tax advisor for the VAT department of Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and started work at WP&B NV – The VAT House half way through 2000. She lived for two and a half years in Singapore and came back to the VAT House team on 1 October 2009. She has extensive experience with supporting Belgian and foreign companies with their VAT issues, at different levels and on different matters such as international goods flows, the logistical extension of a company, (international) service provisions and administrative obligations. She is enthusiastic in carrying out VAT audits and supporting clients through VAT inspections. She has an extensive experience in assisting clients on-site with VAT questions and VAT compliance. She is also a regular speaker at VAT training sessions, on both Belgian and European topics. She is a co-author of various books, including the Handboek Btw (VAT Handbook) (2003 to 2007), Aangiften btw (VAT returns), Teruggaaf btw (VAT refund) and Btw-Praktijkboek.
