Fernando Matesanz is a VAT practitioner with considerable experience in international matters. He regularly advises foreign corporations on disputes with the Spanish tax administration. He also handles advisory mandates relating to compliance with VAT reporting requirements.
He is the Managing Director of Spanish VAT Services Asesores. The firm has become the main VAT services provider in the Spanish market representing the interests of more than 1.000 companies doing business activities in Spain. The sectors of activity of these companies are manufacturing, e-commerce, logistic, financial and insurance, distribution and organization of events.
Fernando is the Secretary of the Board of the International VAT Association and Member of its scientific Committee.
He is also a member of the EU VAT Forum, one of the group of experts advising the EU Commission on international VAT matters.
He has been recognized as leading lawyer in the field of VAT since 2015 by Chambers and Partners.
