Felix Geiger is the founder / owner of VAT Consulting AG, established in 2002 in Basle. He is specialised in VAT and Customs Law since 1994, the year before VAT has been introduced in Switzerland. He worked for many years for the Swiss Tax Authorities, main department VAT (legal department / division legislation). As representative of the Tax Authorities he was member of the Expert Commission that was in charge for drawing up a draft law on behalf of the parliament. Since nearly 20 years he is working as tax adviser in the field of VAT and Customs Law. Inter alia he is lecturer at the “veb.college” (Swiss and EU VAT-Certificate training). He is Co-Editor and Co-Author of the “Commentary about the Swiss Value Added Tax Act” (2nd edition published in 2019) and many other specialist articles.
