Merete Andersen is a Danish lawyer and partner specializing in VAT and indirect taxation.
She has more than 25 years of professional experience advising on a wide range of VAT matters, gained both in private practice and as an indirect tax leader at Deloitte. Merete has extensive experience advising Danish and international businesses on cross-border transactions involving goods and services, including business establishment, VAT risk assessments, supply chain reorganizations and VAT compliance.
A significant part of her practice focuses on the transport sector, including leasing and the aviation industry, where she advises on regulatory matters, complex contractual structures and VAT planning. She also advises on real estate transactions, financial services and electronic services.
Merete has extensive litigation experience and regularly represents clients before Danish courts, tax authorities and the EU Court of Justice.
